ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.All Children’s Hospital of St. Petersburg is seeking city approval for an expansion plan that includes a replacement hospital and satellite buildings that could total more than 1 million square feet of construction. The $270 million plan features a 14-story, 918,000 square foot replacement hospital as well as a new eight-story, 257,000 square foot medical official building (MOB) and a six-story, 1,200-space parking garage. Hospital officials presented the plan to the city zoning board in early February and hope to break ground on the project this spring with completion targeted for 2008.
