News Release: INDUSTRY NEWS: Construction set to begin on HarborChase of Germantown

Harbor Retirement Associates, Confluent Senior Living Enter into Tennessee Market to Deliver Senior Living Community

Project partners Confluent Senior Living and Harbor Retirement Associates (HRA), are pleased to announce that construction is set to start on HarborChase of Germantown, a 114,450-square-foot assisted living and memory care community in the east Memphis suburb.

Marking the first Tennessee development for both Confluent Senior Living and HRA, the luxury retirement facility is scheduled to open in the summer of 2019 with 123 apartments for seniors and families in and around the Memphis area. Expanding upon its investment in Memphis, the partnership also currently has several land parcels under contract in Cordova and is in the design and planning stages to develop a second senior living community in the Memphis metro area.

HarborChase of Germantown will be managed by HRA, a regional senior living development, and management company based in Vero Beach, Florida. The project marks HRA’s third partnership with Confluent Senior Living, a subsidiary of Confluent Development, a Denver-based real estate investment and development firm that will serve as the project’s co-developer and owner. The project represents Confluent’s 15th senior living project.

The three-story development is situated on more than three acres and will feature 86 assisted living and 37 memory care apartments in a mixture of studio, one- and two-bedroom units. Located at 6300 Briarcrest Avenue in Memphis, residents are one block away from Poplar Avenue and Regalia Shopping Center, an area featuring upscale dining, shopping, and entertainment. The infill project is one of only two vacant parcels on Briarcrest Ave. and is located one mile away from Interstate 240.

Rosemann & Associates is serving as the architect on the project with Catamount Construction as the general contractor.
