BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Struggling Brentwood-based Brookdale Senior Living (NYSE: BKD) is said to be in talks to be acquired by, in part or as a whole, Chicago-based Ventas Inc. (NYSE: VTR), according to a recent article in The Wall Street Journal, which cited unnamed sources with knowledge of the negotiations.
