Inpatient Projects: System to add children’s hospital

Standalone pediatric hospital planned for Sacred Heart campus in Pensacola, Fla. By John B. Mugford Construction is set to begin in early 2016 on what will be, in essence, a new standalone children’s hospital at the 100-year-old Sacred Heart Hospital campus in Pensacola, Fla.

Ground has been broken for HCA’s future $109 million Oviedo Medical Center in Central Florida. Plans call for the hospital to start with 64 beds, but it could be later expanded to more than 180 beds. A medical office building is also planned.

BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. – When St. Luke’s University Health Network opened its Anderson campus in Bethlehem Township in 2011, the hospital on the site had 72 beds, 15 ED rooms and about 250,000 square feet of total space.
