Boston, Massachusetts – August 3, 2026 – Berkadia, a distinguished leader in the commercial real estate sector, announced today the sale of four senior living communities and the financing of two communities in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Senior Managing Directors Ross Sanders, Dave Fasano, Cody Tremper, and Mike Garbers of Berkadia Seniors Housing & Healthcare closed the sale transactions on behalf of Kayne Anderson Real Estate, a Florida-based alternative investment management firm.
In the first transaction, Cornerstone at Canton and Cornerstone at Milford were acquired by a leading owner of seniors housing. Built in 2013 and 2015 respectively, the two communities offer a combined 172 units of assisted living and memory care. Both properties are located in Boston-area markets with favorable supply-demand dynamics, strong household wealth, and sizable senior populations.
In the second transaction, Compass on the Bay and Forestview Manor were acquired by an institutional healthcare investor. The two memory care communities comprise a total of 108 units and are located in Boston and Meredith, New Hampshire, respectively. Forestview Manor will be rebranded as Compass at Forestview.
Managing Directors Steve Muth, Austin Sacco and Garrett Sacco of Berkadia Seniors Housing & Healthcare originated an acquisition loan for Forestview Manor through Berkadia’s Proprietary Lending Group. Berkadia intends to pursue permanent fixed-rate financing through HUD in the coming months. The team also brokered bank financing for the acquisition of Compass on the Bay.
Senior Living Residences, a leading Boston-based seniors housing management company, will continue to operate all four communities on behalf of their new owners.
