State and Local Dignitaries Join Milestone Festivities
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (June 3, 2026) — Riverside Post Acute in Jacksonville marked the completion of its multi-million-dollar, top-to-bottom modernization with a Grand Reopening this spring. Located at 1750 Stockton Street, the skilled nursing center has a long history of serving the regional community, providing post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.

More than 80 guests joined leadership of Riverside Post Acute and Marquis Health Consulting Services at the invitation-only open house, including members of the center’s care team, state and local dignitaries and healthcare colleagues. Special guests included representatives from the Florida Health Care Association, Jacksonville’s Senior Services Division, Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside and ElderSource. The Open House featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours of the renovated campus, including its idyllic courtyard, as well as refreshments and entertainment by a harpist and guitarist.
“The Riverside and Marquis teams were honored to welcome all of our VIP guests to the center’s Grand Reopening – it was a perfect celebration and time of meaningful connection,” said Pam Montemurno, regional director of market development at Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports Riverside Post Acute. “Riverside’s modernization aligns with its goal to provide transformative skilled nursing care to the Jacksonville community. Special thanks to the entire team here at Riverside for their dedication and hard work in making this modernization a reality.”
As part of the update, Riverside Post Acute has upgraded its long-term care resident rooms and subacute wing, as well as the front entrance and courtyard along the St. John’s River. A highlight of the renovation is its newly expanded rehab therapy gym, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and other technology to support the delivery of progressive rehab services. “The updates pair a high level of functionality with an uplifting aesthetic – it’s just gorgeous,” added Montemurno.
During the modernization, Riverside continued to enhance its programming, including its opening of the Journeys Memory Care neighborhood, a person-centered, comprehensive memory care model, which is available to clients of Marquis. Designed by memory care experts, Journeys features a standardized approach to care delivery, practice and management.
Riverside Post Acute has an established reputation for quality. The Jacksonville center, featuring CardioPro cardiac rehabilitation, has achieved designation as an American Heart Association Heart Failure Certified Skilled Nursing Center, joining less than 1% of skilled nursing centers nationwide, to date.
