Today, OhioHealth announced the opening of newly renovated medical offices that will be attached to OhioHealth Doctors Hospital at 5131 Beacon Hill Road. This $20 million investment will improve space for patient care, recruit more physicians, bring more services to the west side, and improve physician and staff satisfaction and efficiency. The new space will also double exam room capacity.
“Currently, the hospital is close to physical capacity which is a barrier to bringing new services and recruiting new physicians, which ultimately impacts the patient experience,” Lindsey Osting, president of Doctors Hospital said, “OhioHealth Doctors Hospital’s vision is to transform healthcare delivery to meet our patient population needs and to serve the community. Our patients deserve access to high-quality healthcare close to where they live and work.”
Over the last several years, Doctors Hospital has developed a master facility plan to strategically look at space utilization on the campus to make this vision a reality. Doctors Hospital leadership began working with a consultant in 2017.
The renovations and restacking services within the building to co-locate services and create optimal care flows for patients and workflows for providers began in January 2022. The renovations will be complete by June 2024.5131 Beacon Hill_2024_22
The MOB will feature a total of 18 different clinics, some of which are brand new to the community.
• Entire third floor dedicated to women’s heath:
-Obstetrics and Gynecology
-Mammography and women’s imaging
-Maternal Fetal Medicine for high-risk pregnancy care
• OhioHealth Community Care Clinic:
-Walk-in appointments available Monday-Thursday, 11 AM-7 PM, Friday 9 AM-5 PM
-Our walk-in clinic is ideal for patients who are in need of a primary care provider and struggle to access care due to barriers such as transportation.
• OhioHealth Physician group practices:
-General surgery
-Heart and vascular
-Neurology and neurosurgery
-Pulmonology
• New gastroenterology practice
