Welcome our new chief administrative officer, Andrew Haslam.

Tuesday, May 7, 2024

Our new chief administrative officer for Providence Newberg has been with Providence more than 13 years and joins Newberg from Providence’s Real Estate Strategy and Operations team.

I am excited to announce that Andrew Haslam has been named chief administrative officer for Providence Newberg Medical Center and will begin his new role Monday, June 3.

Andrew has been with Providence more than 13 years and brings excellent leadership skills and a passion for the Providence Mission and values. Andrew comes to Providence Newberg after serving most recently as the chief real estate officer for Providence’s Central Division. He first came to Providence as an administrative fellow before serving in a variety of other leadership positions within Providence’s real estate strategy and operations team.

While he will miss working with the dedicated caregivers across the Central Division and within RESO, Andrew is thrilled to continue serving the Mission by joining and leading the strong team of caregivers in Newberg. He’s also looking forward becoming involved in the Newberg community.

Andrew earned his bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Portland State University and received master’s degrees from Saint Louis University in both business and health administration.
Andrew, his wife Jessica and their three children are all native Oregonians. Outside of work, they enjoy hiking, attending their children’s various sports and activities, and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

I would also like to express my gratitude to Amy Schmitt, M.D., chief medical officer for serving as the interim chief executive. She has served Newberg and Providence well, and her leadership has been so valuable during our transition time.

I know you join me in congratulating Andrew on his new role at Providence Newberg.

Jennifer Burrows, RN
Chief Executive, Providence Oregon
