News Release: Flagship Healthcare Properties Closes on Land for New Medical Outpatient Development in Venice, Florida

Project meets growing demand for outpatient services in greater Sarasota County market

SARASOTA, Fla. — Flagship Healthcare Properties (Flagship), an outpatient healthcare real estate firm, has closed on approximately five acres of land located at 2695 Curry Lane in Venice, in Sarasota County, for the future development of a three-story medical outpatient building totaling about 55,000 square feet.

The land closing occurred on Jan. 27. Strategically located adjacent to Sarasota Memorial Hospital – Venice, the planned development will be designed to support outpatient and ambulatory healthcare services, and is intended to meet the growing demand for outpatient medical services in the Venice and greater Sarasota County market.

The project is in the pre-development phase. Construction is anticipated to begin in summer 2026, subject to permitting and approvals.

Leasing for the approximately 55,000-square-foot building is underway, with opportunities available for complementary outpatient and medical service providers. Liz Cook, Vice President at Flagship Healthcare Properties, is leading leasing efforts for the project.
