Event highlights included a Certificate of Recognition by The Office of Congressman Ryan Mackenzie, presented by Hannah Douris, operations manager and constituent services representative. Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Jill Ferragame, operations director for Post Acute Care Collaborative, and Kate Huck, vice president of operations at 17th Street, led the ribbon cutting ceremony. VIP participants also included State Representative Zach Mako and leadership from dozens of Riverton’s business partners, including regional healthcare providers and nonprofit organizations.
“What a celebration!” said Danielle Koons, regional vice president of market development, Pennsylvania, for Marquis Health Consulting Services. “The Riverton skilled nursing and senior living teams were thrilled to celebrate the Grand Reopening with its guests and show off the renovated Riverton Rehab & Healthcare and its new offerings. Riverton’s modernization aligns with its goal to provide transformative skilled nursing care to the Lehigh Valley community.”
The final phase of Riverton’s modernization centered on the addition of its recently opened six-chair Dialysis Unit, operating in partnership with Dialyze Direct, one of the nation’s leading providers of home dialysis services in skilled nursing facilities. The new offering complements the center’s Chronic Kidney Disease Management Program.
Earlier phases of Riverton’s renovation included a new therapy gym, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and technologies to support the delivery of progressive rehab services. The gym’s spacious activities of daily living (ADL) suite mimics a home environment with a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Renovations also included updated patient rooms and a new lobby.
