Willis Knighton Health has announced plans to build a 90,000 square foot medical office building in Ruston. Groundbreaking for the construction of the four-story structure designed by Somdal Associates will occur in 2026 and is expected to take approximately 18 months, depending on weather conditions. The project represents a $50 million investment by Willis Knighton as it expands access to coordinated primary and specialty healthcare in Ruston, Lincoln Parish and beyond.
Located along the I-20 corridor at 1100 Willow Glen Drive, the building will feature outpatient care, including the relocation of existing Willis Knighton Physician Network Ruston clinics and the ability to add new providers in the future. The design includes a canopied entrance, spacious parking and landscaping that compliments the environment.
“We have a long history of serving people from Ruston and the surrounding area,” said Jaf Fielder, president and CEO of Willis Knighton Health. “This building will allow us to consolidate our Willis Knighton Physician Network clinics in one location with shared services, offering greater efficiencies for them and their patients. It also allows us the opportunity to add additional services and specialties, based on the needs of the community.”
Current clinics in Ruston include Willis Knighton Family Medicine Ruston, Willis Knighton Pediatrics Ruston, Willis Knighton Cardiology Ruston, Willis Knighton Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Ruston and Pierremont OB/GYN Specialists. In addition to the physicians, Willis Knighton employs 40 staff members in its current Ruston clinics.
Fielder noted that Willis Knighton Health looks forward to working with local businesses and organizations to become an integral part of the community.
