News Release: Burke Rehabilitation Hosts Ribbon Cutting Event to Celebrate New Outpatient Therapy Site in Mount Vernon Elected officials, healthcare professionals, and business leaders celebrate the organization’s 15th outpatient facility

Mount Vernon, NY (September 25, 2025) – Burke Rehabilitation® hosted a ribbon cutting to celebrate the upcoming opening of its newest outpatient facility, located in Mount Vernon, New York. The state-of-the-art facility represents a major step in the organization’s multi-year strategy to extend its nationally acclaimed and comprehensive physical rehabilitation services to more patients across the tri-state area. At the event, elected officials, healthcare professionals, and business leaders came together to celebrate Burke’s most recent addition, Mount Vernon, to its growing list of outpatient therapy sites in New York.

“This expansion marks a key milestone for the growth of Burke Rehabilitation’s outpatient footprint, as the Mount Vernon location is our 15^thoutpatient therapy site,” said Burke Rehabilitation Executive Director, Scott Edelman, CPA, MBA, CFE, FHFMA. “It is an honor to expand access to our award-winning, patient-centered care and clinical excellence for more residents in and around Mount Vernon. The cutting-edge facility will offer a full range of services for individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and neurological conditions, in addition to a variety of other diagnoses. Once fully staffed, the Mount Vernon outpatient therapy site will support approximately 15,000 patient visits annually and is expected to employ up to 10 therapists.

Designed by Cardarelli Design & Architecture and constructed by Scully Construction, the 3,500-square-foot facility features an approximately 1,800 square-foot therapy gym bathed in natural light, two private exam rooms, two semi-private treatment bays, and additional treatment tables. Patients will engage in one-on-one sessions with their therapists, focusing on tailored exercises and therapy techniques designed to meet their individualized recovery goals.

The milestone received a written citation from New York State Assemblyman Nader Sayegh.

Located on Wartburg’s campus, the location will be fully open to the entire community.
