Burlingame, CA (Sept. 2, 2025 ) — King Street Properties announced today the completion of key public amenities at its new life-science property, The Landing, in the mid-Peninsula town of Burlingame, CA. With the debut of a full-service bistro café serving breakfast and lunch, an outdoor half-acre plaza with generous gathering spaces and landscaping, and three large-scale site-specific artworks, King Street is delivering on design elements that benefit local residents and building tenants alike.
The newly-opened features announced today include:
n The bistro café The Apron is now open Monday through Friday, 8am to 2pm offering expertly brewed espresso drinks, coffee and tea as well as freshly made sandwiches, salads, baked goods and hot entrees for breakfast and lunch.
n The Landing’s new artworks include a custom 27 foot-tall signature sculpture centrally located in the public plaza by Oregon artist CJ Rench; also two 60-foot murals by San Francisco artist Nicole Mueller adorn the parking garage and are visible from the plaza and as far away as nearby Highway 101.
n A half-acre public plaza and outdoor space also welcomes visitors with generous seating areas, benches and tables near the newly-opened Apron café. Employees working at The Landing have access to semi-private spaces adjacent to the plaza for meeting colleagues or enjoying a break.
A conference center with a 150-person capacity and pre-function area is available for event reservations by tenants and the public.
As a pivotal hub for growing life science companies, The Landing features extensive hospitality-like amenities, ideal proximity south of the South San Francisco biotech cluster, nearby attractions such as the San Francisco Bay Trail and waterfront, and great transportation access via the Highway 101 corridor, SFO International Airport, Caltrain, BART and more.
