The 36,000 square foot, two story facility is part of a public private partnership between Trask Land Company and Onslow County to boost economic development. The medical office building is the first phase of a proposed mixed-use facility that could also host retail and restaurants. Trask Land Company expects the initial facility to open in January 2027.
In 1997 Onslow County purchased the 730-acre property that would become Burton Park for $630,000 to create business opportunities. The site is currently home to a variety of businesses and amenities including industrial, commercial, childcare, education, government, and recreation facilities
The incentivized grant agreement with Trask Land Company is an innovative approach to growth and development and is part of Onslow County’s strategic goal of creating a Focused and Sustainable Future. Visit www.OnslowCountyNC.gov/StrategicPlan to read the full 2025-2030 Strategic Plan.
