Transactions: Remedy and Kayne buys a D.C. area portfolio

JV acquires eight MOBs for an estimated $298.3M; Newmark brokers the sale

Another large medical outpatient building (MOB) portfolio has traded, reinforcing the notion that the second half of 2025 could see upwards of 10 or more large deals.

The latest portfolio deal saw the prolific partnership of Chicago-based Remedy Medical Properties and Boca Raton, Fla.-based Kayne Anderson Real Estate, which owns a portfolio of 33 million square feet of MOB space, acquiring eight outpatient facilities totaling of 797,531 square feet. The properties, which were acquired from two separate owners, are in cities of northern Virginia that are part of the Greater Washington, D.C., area.
