Amid the current slowdown in the medical outpatient building (MOB) sales sector, another significant sale has taken place.
North Palm Beach, Fla.-based AW Property Company, a longtime healthcare real estate (HRE) firm focused on MOBs, in late June acquired a portfolio of nine MOBs in North Carolina, with seven facilities being in what could be considered the Greater Triad area – with six properties being in Greensboro and one in Burlington. Two other facilities are in Durham, about 60 miles east of Greensboro.
The price was $99.5 million for the portfolio with a total of 309,424 square feet of space, or $321 per square foot (PSF), according to information from Arnold, Md.-based Revista, which compiles a wide range of healthcare real estate (HRE) data in its RevistaMed database, does have pricing for six of the MOBs.
