News Release: Hammond Hanlon Camp LLC Welcomes Daniel J. Mackell as New Managing Director in New York

NEW YORK — November 20, 2017 — Hammond Hanlon Camp LLC (“H2C”), a healthcare focused strategic advisory and investment banking firm, is pleased to announce that Daniel J. Mackell has joined the firm as a Managing Director in H2C’s New York office.

Dan brings over 25 years of investment banking experience to the firm having focused almost exclusively on restructuring assignments and capital markets transactions to deliver maximum value to stakeholders.  He has broad and deep experience, and a significant knowledge base in the healthcare sector, through his work restructuring large hospital organizations, executing recapitalizations of HCIT companies and providing strategic advisory for various medical device and pharma companies.

Dan joined H2C from Cottage Capital, LLC, where he served as the CEO.  Cottage is a middle-market investment and merchant bank specializing in complex restructuring assignments, M&A transactions, as well as debt and equity placements.

Prior to Cottage, Dan was a Managing Director responsible for Direct Principal Finance and Origination of transactions at Marathon Asset Management.  Prior to Marathon, he spent most of his career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) as an investment banker in the Corporate Finance Department and was Director and Head of the Building Products Group advising companies on M&A transactions, capital market financing transactions and numerous restructurings.  During his time at DLJ, Dan completed over 50 IPO transactions and other capital market transactions totaling over $4 billion and numerous restructuring assignments for clients.

Dan earned a B.A. degree in Economics with Honors from Georgetown University, a Master’s degree in International Economics from New York University, and holds his M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Katherine Sharpe Scholar.
