MILWAUKEE, Wis. and COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 2, 2017 – Further enhancing its position as the nation’s leader in healthcare facilities development, Hammes Company (hammesco.com), has appointed Douglas Coover as vice president of facility development in Columbus, Ohio.
Mr. Coover brings an extensive background in project delivery and project management for large-scale capital programs successfully completed over the past two decades, which speaks to the depth and breadth of his capabilities. Coover was recently appointed as an international expert consultant for the International Joint Commission and has deep “hands on” experience with strategic planning on large healthcare projects that require an extensive understanding and appreciation for clinical operations and process improvement.

Most recently, Coover served as director of design and construction for a major four-hospital system on the east coast. Prior to that he served as a healthcare architect and planner. Coover received his Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the University of Idaho. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), and Center for Health Design (CHD).
