Hammond Hanlon Camp LLC Fourth Quarter Medical Office Building Report: Medical Office 2015 Year in Review
NEW YORK — February 23, 2016 — 2015 medical office transaction volume was the highest recorded in U.S. history. Approximately $10.0 billion in transactions were recorded during the year, a 14 percent increase over 2014 when volume reached what was then an all-time high. This past year was also one of the most competitively priced periods in medical office building history. The average cap rate of 6.9 percent was the lowest since the 6.8 percent average in 2007 when the market was at its peak.
