Rex Holloway will bring years of provider and business development leadership to the benefit of the healthcare consulting firm’s East region operations

BROOKFIELD, Wis., and WASHINGTON, D.C., Oct. 29, 2014 – Further enhancing its position as the nation’s foremost provider of strategic healthcare solutions across the country, Hammes Company has appointed Rex Holloway as Regional Vice President, reporting to the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Mr. Holloway will manage client development, health provider relationship management and project delivery activities throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast coast, including Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Philadelphia, the Washington metro area, Virginia and West Virginia. Hammes Company is proud to welcome Mr. Holloway back to the firm to a leadership role that will capitalize on his diverse healthcare industry background and his experience within the region’s foremost health systems, hospitals and physician groups.

Mr. Holloway brings almost 30 years of experience in healthcare consulting and business development on both the consultant and the provider side of the industry. He rejoins Hammes Company from his recent role at CBRE, where he was Alliance Director of their largest healthcare partnership in the East region, MedStar Health, headquartered in Columbia, Md. Within that role, Mr. Holloway provided executive leadership for the alliance with the regional health system, which included 10 hospitals and a 10 million square foot portfolio which received facilities management, real estate and project management services.

Prior to that, Mr. Holloway was Associate Vice President for a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center and physician services firm where he led business development efforts in the East. In addition, Mr. Holloway has 13 years in health system management where he spearheaded early industry efforts to introduce service line management and provided leadership for planning, marketing and business development at integrated systems including Bon Secours Health System, Marriottsville, Md.; ChristianaCare, Wilmington, Del.; and Greenville Hospital System, Greenville, S.C.

Additionally, Mr. Holloway is a passionate advocate for the education, training and mentorship for the next generation of healthcare leaders at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he received his Master of Health Administration advanced degree. He was recognized by the university as the recipient of the annual “Distinguished Alumni Service Award” for his leadership as board chairman of the alumni association and his scholarship fund development efforts.
