GRENBRAE, Calif. – In November, residents in Marin County, Calif., let their votes convey how they feel about Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae.

By more than a two-thirds majority, residents passed a bond measure to raise nearly $400 million to help pay for a $500 million rebuild of the campus, which will include a replacement hospital, a 100,000 square foot ambulatory services building and two new parking structures.

The project, expected to be underway in 2015, is not only needed to bring the facility into compliance with the state’s seismic safety standards, but also, according to supporters, to maintain Marin General’s competitiveness and to allow it to accommodate the latest in technology for years to come.
