News Release: BMO Harris Healthcare Real Estate Finance provides a $78.6 Million Credit Facility for Kayne Anderson Real Estate and Remedy Medical Properties

Chicago, January 14, 2021 — BMO Harris Bank’s Healthcare Real Estate Finance group announces that it has closed on a $78.6 million term loan to Kayne Anderson Real Estate and Remedy Medical Properties to acquire a portfolio of medical office buildings. The portfolio consists of 12 facilities across four states totaling 333k SF. The portfolio is currently 99% occupied and features strong credit anchor tenants, such as UPMC and Ascension. The financing is part of a broader $600 million, 29 property MOB acquisition by Kayne Anderson from Hammes Partners that closed before year-end.

Since 2010, Kayne and Remedy have acquired 22.7MM SF of medical office buildings, including 571 properties in 41 states. Together, they are the largest privately held, non-hospital affiliated owners of MOBs in the country.
