August 6, 2020 (New Lenox, IL) – PREMIER Design + Build Group (“PREMIER”) has completed construction of a two-story medical office building in Chicago’s southwest suburbs for HSA|Primecare. The ground floor of this 41,724-square-foot building houses a Silver Cross urgent care facility, along with a primary care unit.
The new complex is at 1851 Silver Cross Boulevard in New Lenox, IL. Located directly across the street from Silver Cross Hospital’s Pavilion A & B, it is known as Silver Cross Medical Office Pavilion or “Pavilion D” on the Silver Cross Hospital Campus.
The urgent care space on the first floor includes a triage area, X-ray room, and a draw laboratory, as well as six exam rooms, offices, and a spacious check-in and waiting area. A large porte cochère at the building’s main entrance offers full rain protection for visitors. The second floor space is designed for clinical and medical office use. Silver Cross staff began seeing primary care patients at the new facility in June. The urgent care facility opened in early July.
The building’s exterior is a blend of textured precast concrete walls and large vertical windows featuring 1” tinted Low-E tempered insulated glass. The new medical office building includes an EPDM roof, a fully automated Trane building HVAC system, and a fully sprinklered fire protection system.
Construction of the building was overseen by PREMIER’s Midwest team. Joe Ahrens, PREMIER’s vice president, project executive, worked with senior project manager Bill Malarski and senior superintendent Scott Lebak on this new facility.

PREMIER worked with Eppstein Uhen Architects for architectural design. Ruettiger, Tonelli and Associates provided civil engineering services. Other project partners included Pierce Engineers for structural engineering and IMEP for MEP services.
