News Release: NexCore Group wins HREI Insights Award™ for innovative new CHI Health Clinic Valley View

This marks the fifth time in six years that the Denver-based firm has won one of the prestigious national awards, which were presented by Healthcare Real Estate Insights magazine in Scottsdale, Ariz., Dec. 6

Denver and Council Bluffs, Iowa, Dec. 14, 2018 – For developing an innovative new healthcare clinic that both satisfies immediate needs and serves as a prototype for future facilities nationwide, national healthcare real estate developer NexCore Group has won a prestigious national award.

The Denver-based firm accepted a 2018 HREI Insights Award Dec. 6 for the CHI Health Clinic Valley View in Council Bluffs. The award, part of Healthcare Real Estate Insights™ (HREI) magazine’s sixth annual national awards program, was presented during the Real Share Healthcare Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The 38,000 square foot CHI Health Clinic Valley View won the 2018 HREI Insights Award in the category of “Best New Development, Medical Office Buildings (MOBs) and Other Outpatient Facilities, 25,000 to 49,999 square feet” despite stiff competition from four other outstanding finalists. The awards, which honor excellence in healthcare real estate development and executive leadership, are selected by HREI’s Editorial Advisory Board, which consist of a panel of recognized HRE leaders from across the nation.

“We are extremely proud that for the fifth time in six years a NexCore Group development has been chosen as an HREI Insights Awards Winner,” Todd Varney, Chief Development Officer, says. “We strive to deliver high-quality healthcare facilities satisfying the needs of the most demanding patient and clients, so it is particularly gratifying to be recognized for that work by the industry’s leading magazine and its highly respected board.”

“NexCore is deeply dedicated to creative, innovative, efficient and cost-effective real estate solutions. What makes us especially proud today is how our solutions deployed throughout the Council Bluffs project form a model that can be quickly and easily adjusted to market need and patient volumes and activated in future projects.”

CHI Health Clinic Valley View, which broke ground in February 2018 and is due to open in April 2019, kicked off CHI’s initiative to develop a highly-adaptable, scalable prototype to replace aging, undersized facilities across the United States.

Todd Varney of NexCore says the Council Bluffs project will serve as a prototype for future CHI Health projects nationwide. Please click on the image to be linked to a high-resolution version. To create the ultimate result for client CHI, NexCore developed a prototype, comprised of three scalable buildings ranging in size from 20,000 to 45,000 square feet on an adaptable structural steel frame. The agile layouts were designed to allow new projects to move quickly through the design process.

NexCore’s prototype used for CHI Health Clinic Valley View is currently being similarly deployed in several other projects in Iowa, Nebraska and other U.S. markets. The optimized facility fosters productivity increases of an estimated 22 percent to 28 percent among providers, allowing them to see more patients more efficiently.

NexCore projects have been named Finalists 13 times and Winners five times in the six-year history of the highly competitive HREI Insights Awards program, the results of which are announced each December. In addition to CHI Health Clinic Valley View, NexCore’s 2018 Finalists included Summit Healthcare Outpatient Pavilion (Show Low, Ariz.).
