Companies & People: Consulting firm Ankara acquires business units from Navigant for $470 million

Washington, DC – Washington-based Ankura, a business advisory and services firm, has closed on its previously announced acquisition of two business units from Chicago-based Navigant Consulting (NYSE: NCI), a well-known consulting firm in the healthcare industry. The price was $470 million for a deal that includes the sale of Navigant’s Healthcare Real Estate & Facilities practice. Ankara, which now provides a wide variety of advisory services to healthcare systems and others involved in healthcare, acquired Navigant’s Disputes, Forensics and Legal Technology (DFLT) segment and the Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice.
