The Neenan Company Completes Barton Center for Orthopedics & Wellness in South Lake Tahoe, Calif.
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CALIF. — Colorado-based design-build firm The Neenan Company is proud to announce its completion of the Barton Center for Orthopedics & Wellness in South Lake Tahoe, Calif.
Located in the Robert Maloff Center on the Barton Health medical campus, the 29,300-square-foot state-of-the-art medical facility houses the Barton Center for Orthopedics & Wellness, featuring integrated orthopedic care, rehabilitation services, performance-based training programs and overall wellness therapies. The medical center, which is a U.S. Ski & Snowboard certified Center of Excellence, combines multi-specialty orthopedic care with sports performance 
training and integrative and wellness treatments supporting overall health.
“We are thrilled to bring a new model of care to the South Lake Tahoe community,” said Barton Health CEO Dr. Clint Purvance. “The tailored care that the Barton Center for Orthopedics & Wellness provides is truly unique for each patient’s goals and health journey.”
The Neenan Company served as the design-build partner for the project and strategically designed the two-story building with an open layout to encourage collaborative care. Amenities include three therapy pools, a fitness and training space and community education area. An emphasis on sustainability throughout the design and construction process achieved CALGreen compliance for the project, which conserves water and promotes a healthier work environment. Building materials were selected to be compatible with the forest and mountainous surroundings.
