Optimal Breaks Ground on Comprehensive Cancer Center in Ocala, FL
Optimal Outcomes is pleased to announce the groundbreaking of the Ocala Cancer Center for Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), the leading community oncology/hematology practice in the state. The facility will be located just north of SR200 on SW 48th Avenue in Ocala, FL, adjacent to the West Marion Community Hospital.
Having outgrown their existing offices in Ocala, and need to integrate a full complement of cancer treatment services, FCS entrusted Optimal with the task of developing a comprehensive cancer center. Optimal identified and acquired the site within and is providing full development services including design, permitting, and construction for the new facility.
The Ocala Cancer Center will contain 21,000 square feet and is expected to open in the summer of 2019. It will be the region’s first and only comprehensive cancer center where a patient can receive a variety of services and treatments under one roof, including chemotherapy, radiation oncology, national clinical trials, radiology (PET/CT imaging), physician visits and laboratory services to provide unsurpassed convenience for cancer patients in Marion County.
