Fed signals that it might raise rates faster than anticipated
Encouraged by a strengthening U.S. economy and increased confidence that the Federal Reserve will reach its inflation target in the near future, central bank policymakers have suggested the path of future rate hikes could be “slightly steeper” during the next few years than previously anticipated.
