Executive brings more than 30 years of experience in real estate development, acquisitions, and capital market activities for leading industry companies
Shawn Janus has joined Caddis’ development team and will lead the firm’s development and acquisition activities in the Midwest region of the country.
Caddis™, a national healthcare real estate firm headquartered in Dallas, announced that it has hired experienced professional Shawn Janus to serve as Director, Development.

In his new role, Mr. Janus will focus on new business development and executive leadership of healthcare real estate projects in the Midwest region of the country. He is based in the Chicago area.
Mr. Janus has more than 30 years’ experience in commercial real estate, including 20 years specializing in the healthcare sector. This included serving as Senior Vice President at Pacific Medical Buildings where he was responsible for expanding the firm’s healthcare development practice on a national basis. One of his standout achievements is the proposed development of a 25-acre healthcare village that includes medical office, academic medicine and education, post-acute care, clinically-integrated wellness/fitness and senior housing in suburban Detroit.
He also served as Managing Director, Healthcare Solutions for seven years at Jones Lang LaSalle where he founded the firm’s healthcare practice, developed regionally-focused business development initiatives for the East, Central and West regions of the United States, and had responsibility for development assignments totaling more than $500 million. Prior to that, during his eight-year career with Lillibridge Healthcare Real Estate Trust, he acquired more than $1 billion in property totaling in excess of 5 million square feet and developed 25 healthcare projects with a market value greater than $360 million.
Mr. Janus received a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and marketing from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Illinois. He serves on the Healthcare & Life Sciences Council of the Urban Land Institute and is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association.
