CHINO, Calif. — The new Kaiser Permanente Chino Grand Medical Offices opened to members today. The 50,000-square foot, three-story medical office building changes the way health care is delivered to members in the Chino area.

The new Chino Grand Medical Offices offers members an experience that looks and feels completely different from any medical visit they’ve had in the past. New features and technology include check-in kiosks, wait-time calculators, mobile physician workstations (tablets and other devices), and an enhanced environment that includes telehealth capabilities and waiting areas that educate, entertain and reinforce Kaiser Permanente’s Thrive brand.

“Members and patients are at the center of everything we do,” said Greg Christian, senior vice president, area manager. “We are committed to providing innovative care and convenient access to health care for our members who live and work in San Bernardino County’s west end.”

“With our new Chino Grand Medical Offices, we’re truly advancing into the future of health care,” said Timothy Jenkins, MD, area medical director and chief of staff. “The new technology we are utilizing here is like nothing ever seen before. We’re working to integrate technology and wellness programming to make our patients healthier and happier.”

Kaiser Permanente’s Chino Grand Medical Offices feature 57 exam rooms and 42 physician offices. Primary and Specialty Care services will include Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Optometry, Mental Health, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Imaging and a Nurse Treatment Center. The campus also includes a community room, community garden and thrive walking path.

The new medical offices feature a modern and open design. A variety original works of art by local artists adorn the walls, including a custom project created by a group of 5- to 7-year old children at the Chino Youth Museum.

Numerous environmentally friendly design and operational features ensure that Chino Grand is a place of health for the planet, too.
