Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian wanted to develop an outpatient facility adjacent to Hoag Hospital Irvine to meet the healthcare needs of the rapidly growing Irvine, Calif., area. Developer Pacific Medical Buildings (PMB) worked with Hoag to research strategic, high-visibility sites and settled on a 12-acre plot adjacent to the hospital that was leased from Southern California Edison.
