New $485 million campus is the result of a merger of two area systems

Plenty of planning and negotiating has paved the way for Mercy-Rockford Health System to proceed with its planned $485 million hospital campus on the outskirts of Rockford, Ill., a project that the new health system believes will enhance access to medical care for residents in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
