Under their leadership, HFF has grown its MOB-focused business by adding two professionals in San Diego and Philadelphia, growing the group’s presence, and investment sales results, nationwide. While at HFF, Messrs. Bennett and Mahler have created a collaborative effort that has maximized proceeds for their clients and opportunities for investors. During his career, Mr. Bennett has facilitated more than 250 real estate transactions. Mr. Mahler has 22 years of experience in commercial real estate, focusing on healthcare in recent years.

Executive VP and Senior VP, CBRE Healthcare Capital Markets Group

Mr. Bodnar and Mr. Asher are the co-leaders of CBRE’s healthcare capital markets group, forming it in 2006 as one of the first national real estate advisory groups to provide health systems, physician groups and investors with acquisition, disposition, and debt and equity solutions, and healthcare real estate consulting services. As partners, they have been responsible for the disposition of more than 12 million square feet of medical assets in 29 states, exceeding a total value of $3.5 billion. As of this fall, the group had completed 42 transactions valued at more than $950 million in 2015.

Senior VP, Outpatient Medical, Welltower Inc. (at the time of his nomination)

Mr. Klein is responsible for the leadership, oversight and coordination of business development, origination and operations efforts for the medical facilities asset class at Welltower, one of the country’s largest healthcare real estate investment trusts (REITs). As of late fall, he had spearheaded the largest MOB portfolio acquisition of 2015 by creating a highly structured platform that incorporated debt, equity and a DownREIT. He also brought in an international capital partner just entering the U.S. healthcare arena. According to those who know his work, Mr. Klein is a leader who never hesitates to tackle difficult problems with well-thought out solutions.

Since 2008, Mr. Signor has grown Caddis from a start-up to a national developer, owner and manager of MOBs, ASCs, hospitals and senior living communities. Today, the Dallas-based firm has 40 employees and three branch offices. In its short history, the company has developed and/or acquired more than $500 million of assets with 2.1 million square feet, 39 properties and 1,200 beds of senior living. Caddis also manages nearly 3 million square feet in seven states. Under Mr. Signor’s leadership, the firm has also developed spatial analysis/mapping platforms to provide insights for healthcare providers and senior housing operators.

Managing Director, GE Capital, Healthcare Financial Services (at the time of his nomination)

Mr. Tellefson has led GE Capital’s medical office/medical property lending platform for North America. During the past five years, his team has financed more than 200 medical property transactions totaling $4 billion in loan commitments by focusing on the value propositions of healthcare expertise, structure and flexibility and certainty of execution. With an in-depth industry knowledge and healthcare real estate experience, Mr. Tellefson was instrumental in the growth of the medical office/medical property segment at the firm and continues to build and grow his originations team. In his 18-year career, he has focused on healthcare for the past 13 years.

Managing Director, VMG Health

Mr. Trabold’s expertise in Stark and anti-kickback laws has allowed him to assist numerous health systems with high-profile compliance issues. He has also provided fair-market value (FMV) advisory services on some of the industry’s largest mergers and acquisitions of the past several years. He has also acted as an advisor for clients requiring valuation services pertaining to potential litigation. Mr. Trabold has developed new valuation tools to improve the analysis within large, multi-discipline FMV projects, where isolating real estate value is difficult. In the past year alone, clients have included HCA, CHS, Ascension, Tenet, USPI, Welltower, CHRISTUS and others.
