Ventas Inc. (NYSE: VTR) announced Aug. 18 that it has completed the previously announced spin-off of most of its post-acute/skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) portfolio into an independent, publicly traded REIT called Care Capital Properties Inc. (NYSE: CCP).
CCP is a “pure-play” REIT that Ventas says will primarily own, acquire and lease SNFs operated by local and regional care providers across the United States. Like Ventas, CCP is based in Chicago.
