Healthcare Realty Trust sells OrthoIndy specialty hospital and an attached MOB

Amid the flurry of medical office building (MOB) sales activity in 2015, one rather large and significant transaction took place in recent months that kind of slipped under the radar.

The offering obviously had enough upside to attract the attention of the ultra-busy Ventas Inc. (NYSE: VTR), which has been quite preoccupied in 2015 with its acquisition of a hospital company as well as the spinning off of its post-acute and skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) into a separate real estate investment trust (REIT).
