Senior Vice President of Healthcare and two other panelists will present ‘Exploring Creative Public-Private Partnership Solutions,’ and describe a detailed provider case study

INDIANAPOLIS, March 11, 2015 – Indianapolis-based commercial real estate developer Duke Realty announced that Keith Konkoli, Senior Vice President of Healthcare, will join the expert faculty at the 2015 American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Congress on Healthcare Leadership March 16-19 at the Hilton Chicago/Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.
Mr. Konkoli’s session “Exploring Creative Public-Private Partnership Solutions” is scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, 8:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. He will speak with two other panelists:
● Tom Ringham, Associate Vice President of Facilities for Eskenazi Health, and
● Keith Smith, AIA, ACHA, President of BSA LifeStructures.

This session will explore the benefits of public-private partnerships, a process for public health systems to select private partners, and a detailed case study of how Duke Realty, public hospital Eskenazi Health and Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County forged a creative solution that helped the provider bring a high-quality, cost-effective medical facility to market.

Mr. Konkoli noted, “Amid the massive changes taking place in the healthcare sector, it’s more important than ever for health systems, especially public, non-profit systems, to find ways to cut costs while also keeping their facilities high quality and up to date, growing their business and staying competitive. Eskenazi Health, Health and Hospital Corp. of Marion County (HHC) and Duke Realty found a way to accomplish all of this by devising a creative, collaborative public-private partnership to plan, design, finance and develop the 274,000-square-foot Fifth Third Bank Building. This new faculty office building, which is connected to the new Sidney & Louis Eskenazi Hospital, enables Eskenazi Health physicians and staff to be consolidated on one modern campus instead of being located in multiple offices throughout Indianapolis.”

The annual ACHE conference brings together more than 4,000 healthcare industry executives who participate in educational and leadership development sessions, network and share best practices.
