News Release: Reed Construction to Complete Addition for Cadence Health in Western Suburbs

REED CONSTRUCTION TO COMPLETE REMODEL/ADDITION FOR CADENCE HEALTH

CHICAGO – Reed Construction is pleased to announce that the firm has been selected to complete a 15,000 square foot renovation and addition for Cadence Health-Central DuPage Hospital at 25 N. Winfield Road in Winfield, Illinois.

The project for Cadence Health features an addition to the existing facility to create a new, Pathology office building which is being construction on top of an existing active pediatric ER in an interior courtyard. The new addition will allow the existing pathology offices to be relocated in order to make room for the clinical lab space to be expanded and the existing corridors to be upgraded to current hospital standards.

Reed Construction’s Executive Vice President and Project Executive Scott Pickands will lead the construction team including Senior Project Manager Richard Melone and Project Manager Nick Theisinger. LCM Architects is providing the architectural services. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2015.

Cadence Health-Central DuPage Hospital is a 344-bed general medical and surgical facility. The hospital is the focal point of a network of health services that includes a 50-physician medical group, a home health care agency, an occupational health center, and about half a dozen urgent care centers.
