Landmark developing MOB for Truman Medical Centers in Kansas City, Mo.

Not all new medical office buildings (MOBs) are being built in suburban retail areas away from a health system’s main hospital campus.

Truman Medical Centers (TMC) in Kansas City, Mo., in fact, has decided to add a $29 million outpatient facility at its main campus on what is known as Hospital Hill, smack dab in the middle of downtown. The goal is to fortify the hospital’s status as the largest and best-known healthcare provider in the heart of Kansas City.
