Despite a pending appeal, Centegra Health moves forward on $233M project

Even though an appeal from competitors is still pending, a health system in the far northwestern suburbs of Chicago has decided to start preliminary construction on its long-planned $233 million hospital in the growing city of Huntley.

Confident that the courts will see things its way, Crystal Lake, Ill.-based Centegra Health System recently had Power Construction of Chicago begin digging foundations and moving parking lots for the future hospital, which is planned for a site on the system’s Health Bridge outpatient campus at Haligus and Algonquin roads in Huntley.
