Inpatient Projects: North Phoenix to get a new hospital

JOHN C. LINCOLN HEALTH NETWORK BUYS LAND, PLANS CAMPUS WITH 120 BEDS

John C. Lincoln Health Network has acquired 21.39 acres in north Phoenix and plans to build a 120-bed hospital by 2019. The system plans to kick off the project next month with the start of construction for the $18 million Sonoran Health and Emergency Center (above).

Sure, the recession may have hit Greater Phoenix fairly hard, slowing residential growth and limiting new commercial real estate development, including medical projects.

However, there are signs that the economy is improving, and now a new ground-up hospital for the far northern part of Phoenix, about 30 minutes from downtown.
