LEXINGTON, Ky. – UK Medical Center at the University of Kentucky recently received approval from the university’s board of trustees for a $450 million expansion project that includes a 473-bed replacement hospital and a new parking garage. The new garage is the first phase of the project and is targeted for completion in March 2007. Once the new parking facility is in operation, an existing parking structure is to be demolished to make way for hospital construction. The entire project is targeted for completion in 2010.
